Your maternity portrait session is a celebration of the incredible journey you are experiencing. I am honored to capture this beautiful time in your life with grace, care, and attention to every detail.
Here’s what you can expect when you arrive at the studio for your special session.
Preparing for Your Maternity Portrait Session
Before your photography session, I will guide you through everything you need to know to feel confident and comfortable. You will have full access to my designer gown collection, beautiful silk draping fabrics, and stylish two-piece sets.
If you would like to bring something special from home, you are always welcome to do so. I recommend scheduling your session between 28 and 34 weeks when your belly has a beautiful shape but you still feel comfortable moving.
Please arrive with clean, dry hair, a fresh face without makeup, and wearing loose clothing to avoid any marks on your skin. Feel free to bring slippers, flip flops, a cozy robe, and snacks. I want you to feel relaxed and cared for throughout the experience.
Styling and Wardrobe Options
At the studio, you will find a curated wardrobe designed to flatter every figure and personal style. Elegant gowns, flowing fabrics, and delicate textures create timeless, artistic images that highlight your natural beauty.
I will work closely with you to select styles that reflect your preferences — simple, dramatic, classic, or romantic. During your maternity portrait session, I will also gently guide you into the most flattering poses. You will never need to worry about how to stand or move.
If you would like to include your partner or older children, I am happy to incorporate them into the session as well. It’s always a joy to capture growing families together.
What Happens During Your Maternity Portrait Session
When you arrive, the studio will be fully prepared for your session. Soft lighting, a warm environment, and a calm atmosphere will help you feel immediately at ease.
We will start slowly, allowing you time to relax and settle in. I will direct you through each pose to create elegant, graceful images that capture this powerful season of your life.
There is no rush and no pressure.
My goal is to make this unique portrait experience a beautiful memory you will always treasure.
After Your Session: What’s Next
After your session, I will carefully select and professionally retouch your images to enhance their natural beauty. You will have the opportunity to view and choose from your portraits once they’re fully edited. I offer a stunning range of heirloom products, including fine art prints, museum-quality gallery wraps, and handcrafted albums.
